Advocate 

Advocacy is critical to our mission at MSS. We aim to educate about the issues that are important to the people we serve and their families, and provide opportunities to get involved. Our goal is to help you feel empowered to advocate for the change you want to see, to positively impact the disability community.

One need we currently have is for more people to understand and help alleviate the workforce crisis that the disability field is experiencing. We need people who have relationships with state legislators to contact them, share resources, and advocate for positive change.

This link will bring you to a series of video clips from a documentary about the importance of Direct Support Professionals and the urgent need for their wages to be increased. These resources could be shared with law-makers to educate them on the the workforce crisis and compel them to further action. The documentary was created by the Institute on Community Integration.
