New Program Opportunities Provided by O'Neil Endowment Fund
Thanks to the O'Neil Endowment fund, MSS has the opportunity to make improvements and new opportunities to our programs. We are so excited that the people we support will be able to expand their access to experiences in living the life they choose.
Here are some of the improvements and activities coming to our centers:
Each center will receive a Samsung Flip to be used for programming purposes. These are large, interactive digital whiteboards that can be used for fun, innovative programming. Each center will also participate in a cultural music series with a local arts company COMPAS and invite cultural speakers to our program. Open Eye Theatre will be hosting their driveway theatre tour at various locations within the community and at our centers.
The Saint Paul center will receive funds for a leather working program, updated 3D printing equipment, a glow flow laser cutter, and expansion of the center's recreation area and game space.
Oakdale will receive funds for an adaptive boxing program, karate classes, and YMCA membership.
Shoreview will revamp its accessible patio by adding a new pergola and garden beds.
Eagan will get a vertical arts storage system for their studio/office.
Fresh Eye Arts has funds dedicated to a gallery mural and more gallery events.
Thanks to everyone who submitted ideas for how to use this money to open up new opportunities and experiences for the people we support!
